What sport do you compete in, and which university are you attending in the United States?

I compete in water polo, and I’m attending the University of the Pacific.

When and how did the idea of studying in the United States first come to you?

The idea came to me about two years before I moved to the U.S. I’ve always considered education to be just as important as sports, and the American system perfectly combines the two.

How did you feel when you found out that you had been accepted?

I was incredibly happy because it felt like all the hard work I had put in over the years had finally paid off.

What is your biggest goal in the United States, both as an athlete and as a person?

As an athlete, my goal is to reach the NCAA Championship and win it. As a person, I’m motivated by building meaningful relationships and continuing to grow every day.

What advice would you give to athletes who are thinking about pursuing a sports scholarship in the United States?

Be brave and go for it. Looking back, I truly believe it was one of the best decisions of my life.

Who has been the biggest influence on your success?

I owe the most to my parents, who have always been there for me and supported me, and to Kaposvár Water Polo Club, where I grew up as a player and gained all of my professional knowledge.

I would recommend Study N Sport because of the experience and professionalism of the people who work there.

What are you looking forward to the most in the United States, outside of sports?

I’d like to travel as much as possible and experience everything the country has to offer.

Now that you’ve completed your first season, how do you feel about it?

I have mixed feelings about my first season because it was a challenging start for me. Water polo is quite different here, and it took some time to adapt. However, by the end of the season, we came together as a team, and we managed to win our conference’s regular season title, which was a fantastic achievement.
