What sport do you compete in, and which team or school have you joined in the United States?

I’m a 16-year-old ice hockey player, and this season I’ll be playing for the Norwich Hockey Club at the 18U AAAlevel, competing in the UT1HL and USHS Nationals championships.

When and how did you decide to study in the United States?

The idea came from my older brother. He has been studying and playing hockey in the United States for the past year through Study N Sport. He’s now starting college while playing Junior A hockey, and seeing his experience inspired me to follow the same path.

How did you feel when you found out you had been accepted?

I was incredibly excited. I’d heard so many great things about Norwich from my brother, who previously played there, and I couldn’t wait to become part of the team myself.

What is your biggest goal in the United States?

My biggest goal is to earn a college degree through an athletic scholarship and eventually earn a spot in either the NCDCor the NAHL, continuing my development at the highest possible level.

What advice would you give to young athletes who are thinking about taking the same path?

If you have the opportunity, go for it. A whole new world of opportunities is waiting for you, and the experience is something you’ll never forget.

Who do you credit the most for your success?

I owe my success to my family, my teammates, my coaches, and my friends. Most importantly, I owe it to my passion for the game and my determination to become the best player I can be.

I would recommend Study N Sport because of their experience, extensive network, and the support they provide throughout the entire process. They help athletes avoid common mistakes and make the journey to the United States much smoother.

What are you looking forward to the most in the United States outside of hockey?

I’m looking forward to making new friends, successfully completing my junior year at Norwich High School, and hopefully helping my team defeat the long-time undefeated Shattuck–St. Mary’s in the USHS Nationals championship game.
