What sport do you compete in, and which university have you been accepted to in the United States?

I compete in track and field for the Aplast–Ikarus BSE Athletics Club. After my early years in the sport, I was coached by István Tomhauser Jr., and later by Tamás Budai. I have earned admission to Dodge City Community College.

When and how did the idea of studying in the United States first come to you?

When I was just ten years old and started competing in track and field, I remember thinking how amazing it would be if athletics could one day take me to a university in the United States—but at the time, it felt like nothing more than a dream. Two years ago, I finally decided to make that dream a reality because I was fascinated by everything I had heard about college life in the U.S.

How did you feel when you found out that you had been accepted?

Of course, I was incredibly happy to be accepted. At the same time, it wasn’t a complete surprise because I had been in regular contact with the coach throughout the process. He helped me tremendously in securing the best scholarship offer possible.

What is your biggest goal in the United States, both as an athlete and as a person?

As an athlete, my biggest goal is to prove myself—to break my personal bests and keep pushing my own limits. I also want to become an important member of my college team and achieve strong results at collegiate competitions.

I’m realistic about my goals. I probably won’t become a national team athlete, but that’s not what’s expected of me. Even at my own level, I know I can be a valuable contributor to my team.

As a person, I want to step outside my comfort zone, become more independent, and experience as many new things as possible.

What advice would you give to athletes who are thinking about pursuing a sports scholarship in the United States?

Even though I’m only just beginning this journey myself, I would absolutely encourage others to go for it. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with incredible opportunities that would be a shame to miss. If someone already has the desire to do it, I believe they should take the leap—it’s an adventure they’ll never regret.

Who has played the biggest role in your success?

I owe my athletic achievements primarily to my coach, who has worked with me patiently and dedicatedly for years. My training partners have also meant a great deal to me. They have always been there—not only at competitions but also during the toughest training sessions—supporting me, encouraging me, and helping me whenever I needed it.

I’m equally grateful to my family, especially my father. For eight to ten years, he drove me to nearly every practice, attended almost every competition, and did everything he could to help me become the best athlete I could be. He also played a huge role in the university application process, taking a lot of pressure off my shoulders.

Why would you recommend Study N Sport to other young athletes?

I wholeheartedly recommend Study N Sport to every athlete because they make the entire process so much easier. They allowed me to focus on my studies and training while taking care of the details. They saved me an incredible amount of time by providing all the information I needed and connecting me only with university coaches who were genuinely interested in me. They also supported me throughout the visa application process, which was especially valuable because completing all the paperwork on my own would have taken hours.

What are you looking forward to the most in the United States, outside of sports?

Honestly, I can’t choose just one thing because I’m excited about the entire experience. I’m curious to see what it’s like to balance academics and athletics in the U.S., experience campus life, and discover what everyday life is really like there. I’m also really looking forward to competing in the major collegiate championships.
