How did you get started in football, and when did you first realize you wanted to pursue the sport more seriously?
I started playing football with the boys when I was in primary school. My best male friend was the one who introduced me to the sport and helped me fall in love with football. There wasn’t a single defining moment when I decided to take it more seriously. Instead, it gradually became more important to me year after year. As I improved and gained more experience on the pitch alongside my teammates, football became a defining part of my life.
When did you decide that you wanted to study and play football in the United States, and why did you choose this path? Which university will you attend, and what will you study?
I had dreamed for years about living, studying, and continuing to play football in the United States. When I first learned about the American college system, I was impressed by how well it combines academics and athletics at such a high level. I had to wait a long time for this opportunity because the process could only begin once I reached the appropriate age. Study N Sport provided tremendous support throughout the entire journey, guiding me every step of the way and helping make this dream a reality. I will be attending Idaho State University, where I will study Sport Management while competing as a student-athlete.
Who has played the biggest role in helping you reach this point?
First and foremost, I would like to thank my family for supporting and encouraging me throughout this long journey. I would not have made it this far without them. They made countless sacrifices for me, and I am incredibly grateful. I also owe a great deal to my coaches, who have supported my development from the beginning, as well as to my friends, who have always believed in me. And of course, I am very thankful to Study N Sport for all of their help.
How did Study N Sport help you throughout the process?
Study N Sport supported me throughout every stage of the process. They helped me find the university that was the best fit for me, connected me with coaches, assisted with all the administrative tasks and the application process, and provided valuable advice that made the entire journey much easier.
What has been the biggest challenge on your journey to becoming a student-athlete in the United States, and what are you looking forward to most about life and college football there?
The biggest challenge was choosing the university that best matched both my academic and athletic goals from so many great opportunities. It was also a major life decision because it meant leaving my family, friends, and everything familiar behind for an extended period.
What I look forward to most is meeting new people, building an international network, and experiencing different cultures. I also want to continue improving my English, travel as much as possible, and create memories that will stay with me for a lifetime. As for college football, I am excited to develop both as a player and as a person in a new and highly competitive environment.
What are your biggest goals as both a football player and a student in the United States?
My biggest goal is to look back with pride on everything I accomplish and experience during my time in the United States. I want to continue growing both as a football player and as a person, take advantage of every opportunity that college life offers, and earn my degree. I also hope to build lifelong friendships and professional connections, and return home knowing that I gave everything I had to achieve my goals.
What advice would you give to young football players who are considering studying and competing in the United States?
My advice would be that if you’re genuinely interested in the opportunities available in the United States, don’t be afraid to take the leap and step outside your comfort zone. It’s a big decision because you’ll have to leave your family, friends, and familiar surroundings behind for a while, but in return you’ll gain incredible experiences, valuable knowledge, and opportunities that can shape your future.
I spent a lot of time thinking about this decision myself, but I truly believe it’s worth taking the risk for such a unique opportunity. You’ll not only develop as an athlete and a student, but you’ll also build friendships, connections, and memories that can last a lifetime.
We want to get to know you better
